Early to bed and early to rise makes us healthy, wealthy and wise, or something. Up early as usual and after a quick caffeine fix off we went on our walk to wake us up and try to capture those early morning photo-gems you can't get with full sun. Alas, photography was not as good as the sun was hidden by early cloud.
A leisurely breakfast followed by some grocery shopping (no
Woolies out here, Supa IGA only) was next on the agenda. It was then onto the bikes for a tour
de Bourke, 28km all up. We went to the Back O' Bourke but there was nothing
there so we rode back home for lunch and an LLD. It was interesting, really! Just a short afternoon ride took in one of
the local cotton gins (can you still call them that?) and an interesting
cemetery. Fred Hollows lies at rest there, what an amazing man he was.
Dinner tonight was Chinese at the Bowls Club. It was very
nice too, the seafood special was clean and fresh; and the sweet & sour pork
was delicious, no prizes for guessing who had what. A full, enjoyable day in Bourke.
