This is not Qld so one
shouldn't expect two days of consecutive sunshine! At least it wasn't raining
when Greg went for his walk. Although it was cloudy he decided to take a
chance with the washing anyway. We're not in one spot for a week very often so
got to take the opportunity when it presents. So did the sheets and towels then
hung them outside (as there was no rain forecast!!)
Chores and breakfast out of the way Greg headed back into the city via the lovely riverside bike path. Spent an interesting few hours just wandering around the North Terrace Precinct; War memorials, State Library, Museum, Art Gallery, yet another couple of churches and the old buildings of the Uni SA. Greg then met up with an old Army mate, Symen, and they caught up over lunch. Symen's a vegan so went along with his local knowledge and ended up in a quirky hippy little place upstairs with no windows. Great fresh food. Came out a couple of hours later to find that the sky had opened up and there was water everywhere with more on the way. That was the end of sightseeing for the rest of the day. So much for the forecasted dry day.
Got back to very soggy washing on the line so
had to use the dryers to finish the chores. $1 for 5 minutes in the dryer!!
Dinner all alone again!!
