It is so quiet here at the Racecourse despite the fact there are nearly 50 vans parked within a 100m or so. A beautiful crisp morning, and we were expecting early track work on the racecourse but that didn't kick in (excuse the pun) until after sunrise at 7am. Of course the sun is appearing later in the morning the further west we go, go figure!! It was nice to watch the trotters go round the track in the early morning. There were some really good looking horses, and then some not so. Those good-looking ones settled into their pace easily, whilst the not so good-looking ones tended to canter and even gallop at stages – maybe they were still learning?
As there were no powered sites left last night
our first mission after breakfast was to find the first available one this
morning. After finding it, we took about 15-20 minutes to do a quick pack-up,
move and unpack; our new neighbours thought we had been on the road all night.
Wendy then got stuck into some Army work while Greg hit the town on his bike. Plenty to see. A picture is worth a thousand words, so we'll just let them do the talking.
Dinner was home made fried rice with chicken
prepared by the apprentice chef.
