We were going to stop in Walgett for mornos, however, the only place that was open was the servo. It may well have served a good cuppa but after refuelling the truck, we drove until we found a decent stopping spot not far out of Walgett and brewed up.
The next major point on the map was Brewarrina, that on a Sunday, was not much to write home about, and we arrived at Bourke about 1pm. After a bite to eat, yep salad again, we had a LLD. This travellin' business is hard work. Got the bikes off and did a quick recce around town. A more detailed look will be done in the morning.
Dinner was a $5 stew with damper at the camp kitchen with a whole bunch of strangers who are not so anymore. It was great to hear all their stories. We are all out there seeing the big wide brown land. The owners of the Mitchel Caravan Park (where we are staying) are a young couple and are doing all they can to make the place "nice". This includes some kind of get together every afternoon, ranging from stew on a Sunday, muffins on Monday, to pizza, hotdogs and hamburgers. A really nice touch.
