Day 40: Sun 19 Jun - Albany to Margaret River, 395km, 10-18deg, cloudy but fine early with rain from about 11am

Got away at 7:50am and headed for Mt Barker and then Manjimup where we had a walk around town. Couldn't avoid the bakery which had great looking vanilla slices. Wendy got one but Greg opted for the kabana sausage in a pastry roll. Both were tasty and consumed with a coffee back at the van.

Onward we went through some very impressive and diverse farming territory, with dairy, cattle, sheep and hardwood & pine timber being the main ones. The countryside was stunning as all this rain equals beautiful green crops and pastures.
We pulled into Margaret River Tourist Park just before 2pm. A fairly windy day road wise and some narrow, twisty and undulating stretches so it was good to have it behind us. After setting up, lunch and an LLD we took a walk into town, which is a great little place with lots of eateries, shops and the normal suspects.
