Day 37: Thurs 16 Jun - Esperance to Albany 478km, 9-15deg, showers

Up early and after a quick breakfast we were on the road again, Hwy 1, heading West. First stop was Ravensthorpe, 170km, for a cuppa, in the van. As there were showers and drizzle nearly all the way to Albany we didn't stop again till we reached the Albany Gardens Holiday Resort at 1:35pm. Despite the fact that we were on Hwy 1 the road wasn't too flash at all. Narrower than every other WA road we'd been on and quite a rough surface in places; reminded us of QLD roads. That said, there were lots of surveyors doing their thing so we suspect an upgrade of the hwy is not far away.

Settled in, had lunch and then went for a walk to get the cobwebs out of the legs.

Dinner was lovely Indian from directly across the road; fish coconut curry for Greg and chicken korma for Wendy. Both meals were enjoyed very much. We are looking forward to exploring this very popular city over the next few days.

Another long straight stretch to Albany
